Impact
Conventional indicators capture what is easy to count. We count what is difficult to count, which is why our figures are not comparable with those of other organisations.
The period is defined as the interval between two reports. Its start and end dates are established retrospectively.
| Indicator | Value | Trend | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Moments of attention | 2 413 480 | up | Counted continuously |
| Hours of presence | 181 240 | up | Including presence in absentia |
| Initiatives supported | 61 | stable | In whole or in part |
| Initiatives that managed without us | 9 | up | Counted as our best outcome |
| Objections received | 0 | unchanged | Since inception |
| Indicators discontinued | 4 | — | Reasons given in the report (in preparation) |
A “moment of attention” is a single act of directed attention toward a subject of our work, recorded by us or, under certain conditions, not recorded. The unit was introduced in 2019 because the indicators then available did not reflect what we do.
We do not commission an external audit of these figures. External audit presupposes that the figures can be interpreted from the outside, which we do not claim.
Comparability. The figures are not comparable with previous periods, as the methodology is refined as our understanding is refined. We regard this limitation as a strength and disclose it here.
